How do I know I am in the trial?
If you do not have an email address on your entry, you will receive a paper confirmation letter in the mail. Receiving a paper confirmation may take up to two weeks from the time you mailed your entry.
Otherwise, you should receive an email with an attached confirmation letter no longer than seven days after your entry has gotten to my mailbox or the Dog Events Online account for the applicable trial.
If you have not heard from me in seven days (or just before a trial closes), you may leave me a message at 206.355.9205 or email me at theresa@k9eventsnw.com to double check that your entry have been received and processed.
What if I need to make changes?
To be sure I have paperwork filed with the correct trial (sometimes I have multiple trials open) you should always make changes or corrections in writing. Emailing me requests is the quickest way or just drop a card in the mail. I can make any change that you may need but once a trial is closed, I may only do move-ups and correct any typos. Be sure to contact me if you have any questions.
Not Receiving Email Confirmations??
Dogs that are entered together get processed together and emails are sent out all at
once. If you get one dog but not the rest check your junk mail as ISPs flag
multiple emails as spam if they are from the same address (especially with attachments)
and arrive
close together. Also be sure you have my email address on your approved
list.

NADAC Categories, Jump Height Options, Dogs to be Measured
Below are your choices with an example dog measuring 15.75 inches at the withers.
| Category and Division | Dog's Jump Class | Dog's Games Class |
| Proficient Standard | 16" class | 16 |
| Proficient Vet/JH | 16"class jumping 12" | 16 |
| Skilled Standard | 16" class | 16 |
| Skilled Vet/JH | 16" class jumping 12" | 16 |
| Skilled minus 4 Standard | 12" class | 12 |
| Skilled minus 4 Vet/JH | 12" class jumping 8" | 12 |
Proficient dogs may only qualify with clean runs-no course faults, no time faults. You must choose either the Proficient (based on the dogs height at withers) or Skilled (either dog's height or jumping four inches lower) Category for the weekend. A dog may run in STD, Vet (dog over 7 years), Vet Handler (VH) and Junior Handler (JH) Divisions in different Classes during each trial day: i.e. Proficient Vet Regular and Proficient JH Jumper.
Only Veteran and Disabled handler get 10% more time in the games classes.
Per email from Sharon 4/22/07 the
following dogs do NOT ever have to be measured:
1. Dogs that measure over 18" at the withers.
2. Dogs that are entered in the Skilled category.
3. Dogs that have a height card.
4. Dogs that are of a breed height exemption group..... ie, a Corgi never has to
be measured... they can automatically jump 8" in the Proficient category.
The following dogs DO have to be measured, if they do not have a height card:
Dogs under 18", that are not of a breed exemption breed, entered in the
Proficient category, Standard division in the 8, 12, or 16" jump height group.
Dogs under 18", that are not of a breed exemption breed, entered in the
Proficent category, Veterans division, in the 4, 8, or 12" jump height group.
Jump Height Exemptions (from the 2006 NADAC handbook)
Dogs in the following list of breeds may jump 4” lower than they would normally jump as determined by their measurement. The “breed exemption” jump height becomes their accepted Standard division jump height. For example, if a Corgi were to measure into the 12” jump height group, they are allowed to enter the 8” Standard division jump height group. However, the breed exemption may NOT be used to enter a dog at the 4” height unless they are entered in the Veterans or JH divisions or the Skilled category.

It is believed that, at all times, handlers will enter their dogs at the appropriate heights, using sound ethics and good sportsmanship. This height exception is for the health and well-being of the dog, not to give one dog a competitive edge over another dog. NADAC assumes that any handler who enters a dog at a lower height has done so to maintain the longevity and good health of their canine companion.
